Q

What is Lagree Fitness?

Lagree Fitness is a method that infuses cardio, flexibility, core, balance and strength training for absolute body transformation! Simply put, it is the most aggressive and innovative approach to optimal body sculpting. The intense 50-minute routines on the state of the art Megaformer M3’s are sequenced to strengthen, tone and lengthen the entire body. To learn more, visit the Lagree Fitness website here.

I'm ready to try the Megaformer! Should I do a private class first?

We do not require you to start with private sessions — all classes are designed to work in a group setting. Because clients have their own megaformer, you can modify each exercise to suit your own fitness level. Most new students do fine stepping into our group classes; however, we strongly encourage starting with our fundamentals classes first.

If you have back pain, painful joints or another medical condition, we do recommend you take a private lesson first to assess these needs with one of our highly-trained experienced & certified instructors. If you are concerned, just let us know and we are happy to set this up for you!

We also offer 30-minute & 50-minute intro privates to get you safely familiar with the Megaformer and Lagree Fitness Method!

Yay! I signed up for my first class. When should I arrive to the studio for my first class?

Please give yourself plenty of time to locate our studio and to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class start to fill out our liability waiver. If you arrive less than 10 minutes before class starts we will kindly ask, for your safety, that we reschedule you for another class time.

Don’t forget to watch the Anatomy of a Megaformer M3 video before coming in for your first class.

What should I bring (or not bring) to class?
  • Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in and your body can breathe. Preferably not too loose or baggy so instructors are able to see your alignment and form.
  • Grip socks are required and available for purchase at the studio.
  • There is an eco-friendly reusable water station.
  • This workout will make you sweat, so bring a hand towel.
  • Please keep loose jewelry at home & kindly refrain from wearing strong perfume, lotions & oils.
How often should I practice on the Megaformer?

The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you will need to rest. Depending on your own personal fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more or less time to recover. We recommend 3 times a week to allow your body proper recovery time, but some clients love the workout so much that they come in 4 – 5 times a week! The key is to listen to your body and to find a routine that works best for you.

How many calories will I burn in one session?

You can expect to burn 500-700 calories during a class. Since you will be activating the slow-twitch muscle fibers, your body will continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours afterwards.

How do I schedule classes?

We have a user-friendly and secure software system to assist you with reserving your sessions. Click on the MindBody link here. It is the easiest, fastest, and most simple way to book classes. You can create your account and use it to schedule, purchase and track your visit history. We highly recommend booking/reserving your sessions online or by using the MindBody app.

The class I want is full. Should I get on the waitlist?

We definitely recommend doing so! Not only will you have better luck getting into a class, it also helps us know where we need to add classes. When a class reads “12 Reserved, 0 Open” add yourself to the list by clicking “Sign Up Now!” it will ask you if you want to join the waitlist and tell you which number you are on the waitlist.

If someone cancels BEFORE the 12 hour cancellation time, the system will automatically put you into the class and send you an email if you have opted into email messages. You are responsible for checking your profile 12 hours before the scheduled class (“view my account”). If you see the class on your schedule it means you are IN, even if it says ‘unconfirmed’ you are IN. This means that if you made another back up reservation, you must cancel it ASAP so that you do not get into multiple classes on the same day.

We do not recommend putting yourself on multiple waitlists in one day as it can become confusing to manage. If you do put yourself on multiple waitlists for one day, it is your responsibility to keep track of what class you get into. As soon as you get put into one class, please remove yourself from the other waitlists that day so you are not holding spots from other clients and in turn potentially getting charged for multiple classes (or no shows). To remove yourself from a waitlist, log into your profile, go to ‘my schedule’, click on “waitlist” in the upper right hand corner of your schedule, simply hit cancel on the classes you no longer want to be waitlisted for and you are good to go.

If you need to cancel a class once you get in off the waitlist, log into your profile, go to ‘my schedule’ and the class will show up, simply hit cancel and you are good to go. Rule of thumb, if it comes up on your schedule, then you are IN and therefore subject to the same cancellation policy as a regularly scheduled class.

Once we are within 12 hours of the start of a class, the waitlist locks and will not automatically add you into the class. If someone late cancels within 12 hours before a class start time the system will not automatically put you in the class. You have to sign in and check the system to add yourself if a spot becomes available.  The system will never put you into the class less than 12 hours prior to the start of the class, that way you don’t lose any classes or incur a charge.

Will my spot be given away if I'm late to a class?

Yes. We ask that you arrive on time in an effort to respect other clients.  Often times, clients will drop in to see if someone doesn’t show allowing them a in the class. If you do not arrive by the time class starts, your megaformer may be given to someone who is waiting. Be sure to stop by the front desk and sign in to class so we know you were present!

What happens if I miss a class? Will I be charged?

Yes, even if it’s your first time. We require a 12-hour cancellation.

If you cancel a reservation within the 12-hours before a class:

  • Class Pack Holders will lose that session and will be charged a $15 fee to the credit card on file.
  • Unlimited Monthly members will be charged a $20 fee to the credit card on file.

If you no-show for the class:

  • Class Pack holders will lose a class and will be charged a $20 fee to the credit card on file.
  • Unlimited Monthly Members will be charged a $25 no-show fee to the credit card on file.

If a valid credit card is not on file, the account is subject to immediate termination.

Are my purchases refundable or transferable?

Sorry, but all purchases are final, and are not transferable. Some of our memberships require signing a contract for auto-payments. Please make sure that you look these over carefully and fully understand the rules before signing them.

May I bring my children to class?

Honestly, we would love to meet your adorable children, but due to safety and insurance concerns we cannot allow children to stay in the studio while class is in session. It is not safe to have little hands near the machines or to have other clients distracted while they are in moves that require concentration and balance. Same rule applies for your furry friends too.

Is there an age requirement to take a class?

Yes, due to insurance reasons you must be at least 14 years old to participate in a class. If you are between 14-18 years old, a parent or legal guardian will need to accompany you to your first class to sign a liability waiver for you.
