Nothing motivates us more than hearing testimonials from our core clients. Today, we are focusing on Sheri Grove – a mama, active core-goer and football lover! Sheri has been coming to Core Evolution for a few months and has seen incredible results that keep her coming back for more! We asked Sheri some fun questions and got to know her a little more!
Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you started coming to core evolution:
I am a CPA, wife and mother of 2 boys. We recently became empty nesters. For the first time in years I have some time for myself.
A friend of mine was going to try Core Evolution and asked if I would like to go along. Knowing nothing about CE, I said sure. I went with my friend and struggled through my first class. My friend encouraged me to sign up for a month with her and I agreed. After a couple of classes my friend had some health issues and had to stop coming to CE. I continued to go and after my month of classes ended I was hooked. I had begun to feel comfortable on the platform and was beginning to feel stronger and noticed some changes in my core and legs. I also realized for the first time in a couple of years I had not had any back issues since I began taking CE classes.
What’s your motivation to keep coming to classes?
What’s your all time favorite move to do in class?
My legs are my strength so my favorite are inner thigh and hamstring moves!
My least favorite move is the bear. When I first started at Core Evolution, I fell off the platform doing the bear and it spooked me.
What kind of music pumps you up during class?
I like all kinds of music! Anything upbeat helps me stay motivated during Core Evolution.
My favorite trainers are Isabel, Marley and Loni. They have each taken an interest in helping me improve my form and get stronger.
Any core goals for 2018?
In 2018 my goal is to conquer my fear of falling off the platform and conquer the bear.
Do you have a most memorable class?
My most memorable class was one that had 4 young new participants in it. The young people struggled and I was able to keep up. It made me realize how far I had come!
Any favorite books at the moment?
As a child I read constantly. As a working mother and wife I haven’t had time to read much other than a magazine in years. Now that we have an empty nest I would like to begin reading again. I enjoy biographies.
What would you choose for you last meal on earth?
My last meal would have to be lobster!
Any fun health tips you can share with us?
Find something you enjoy doing for exercise. If you don’t enjoy it you won’t stick with it. I enjoy Core Evolution and walking with my husband. Core has made me stronger, which makes me feel good about myself. Walking with my husband gives us a chance to talk and spend time together.
Any advice to newcomers?
My advice to newcomers – don’t give up.. It took me a month to feel comfortable. I am so glad I stuck with it. My back issue has disappeared, I have gained strength and even made a new friend that I look forward to seeing at class.
Thank you so much to Sheri for taking the time to answer some questions so we can get to know her a little better! It is so refreshing to hear from our clients on how much stronger and more confident they feel after dedicating themselves to Core!
